A powerful new mentorship program is launching this July to empower male teens in the Child’s Park neighborhood. Founded by a local leader determined to curb community violence, this initiative provides two selected youth (ages 14–17) from single-parent homes with hands-on construction training. Participants will earn $15 an hour working two days a week, receive their own professional tool sets, and master valuable trade skills like drywall repair and fixture installation. This program offers a direct blueprint for financial independence and mentorship when it is needed most.
