The local culinary scene in St. Petersburg is buzzing with pride as Ashley Reed, the visionary founder of the popular food truck "The Brunch Munch," has been officially named a winner of the 2026 Famous Amos "Ingredients for Success" (IFS) Entrepreneurs Initiative. This prestigious national recognition places Reed among a select group of trailblazing Black business owners who are showing excellence in their industries.
Honoring a Legacy of Success
The Famous Amos "Ingredients for Success" initiative was launched by Ferrero North America in 2020 as a powerful platform to empower early-stage Black entrepreneurs. By providing a total of $150,000 in capital awards annually, split among three deserving winners, the program offers financial support. Winners also receive invaluable mentorship, networking opportunities, and educational resources.
At its heart, the initiative honors the enduring legacy of Wally Amos and the "Famously You" ethos. It celebrates the unique qualities and individual spirit that each business owner brings to the table, ensuring that the next generation of Black-owned businesses has the tools necessary to thrive in a competitive market.
The Brunch Munch: Food for the Soul and Community
Ashley Reed’s "The Brunch Munch" food truck is a vehicle for community connection. Based in St. Petersburg, Reed has used her platform to bring people together through the universal language of food. Beyond serving delicious brunch favorites, her mission is rooted in social impact, specifically focusing on the preservation of culturally significant spaces.
With the $50,000 award and the extensive resources provided by the IFS program, Reed is poised to take "The Brunch Munch" to new heights. This support will enable her to scale operations, reach more neighborhoods, and continue her vital mission of community preservation.
