The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) annual Auxiliaries in Ministry (AIM) Convention has officially announced its next destination, with plans set to head to Tampa, Florida, in July 2027.

The Bay Area has COGIC congregations that take part in the day. Bishop Anthony W. Gilyard, bishop of the Southwestern Florida Jurisdiction, shares his excitement via Facebook.

“Please know that we have grown, and it’s so much more to explore since you were with us in 2019…We are so excited to welcome the AIM convention to our beautiful city, Tampa, FL,” Gilyard shares.

The AIM Convention stands as an event for spiritual enrichment, training, and education. Designed with a clear objective to maximize effectiveness in ministry, the convention has evolved into a vital family involvement experience that unites members from across the country.

Central to the AIM experience is the collaboration of five distinct auxiliaries: Music, Youth, Missions, Evangelism, and Sunday School. This gathering creates a holistic environment where individuals are not only educated but also empowered. By bringing these auxiliaries together, the convention provides a comprehensive toolkit for ministry, ensuring attendees are well-equipped to serve their communities and congregations with renewed vigor.

The success of the 2026 International AIM Convention was a significant milestone, showing the collective power and dedication of the church’s leadership, partners, and participants.

As organizers looked back on the achievements of the convention, they shared a heartfelt message of appreciation on Facebook: "To our strategic partners, donors, each host and supporting jurisdiction, and hall of aim banner patrons: Partnership makes the mission possible. Thank you to every organization and individual who helped make the 2026 International AIM Convention a success. Your impact will be felt for generations."

Looking ahead, anticipation is already building for the next gathering. This upcoming event promises to continue the tradition of spiritual growth and fellowship, inviting members to reunite for another impactful summer. As the church prepares to gather in Tampa, the legacy of the 2026 convention serves as a foundation, reminding everyone that unity and purposeful collaboration are the keys to lasting change and continued ministry success.
