Isis Climes
She earned her Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism at Florida A&M and an MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore. While Climes studied for her bachelors at FAMU, she served as the news and assistant news editor for the student-run publication, The FAMUAN. Climes is an accomplished published author, with her articles featured in The FAMUAN, and has also published a short story collection, “A Symphony of Chaos,” which focuses on self-discovery, addresses generational trauma, and encourages finding confidence in oneself.
In her new role as a journalist intern, Climes is dedicated to utilizing her writing talent to craft meaningful stories that amplify the voices of underrepresented individuals.
Climes aims to bring attention to stories that touch on black entrepreneurship, mental health awareness, and highlight local stories that cover art, education, health, and politics, all within the Tampa Bay area.
