Join the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg for a vital community conversation addressing chronic disease and systemic inequities in healthcare. "Voices of Life: Truth, Equity, and Testimony in Organ
Donation" will help break down myths, explore impactful data, and feature direct testimonies from a transplant recipient, a donor family, and a living donor. The discussion will highlight critical disparities, including the fact that Black Americans are three times more likely to suffer from kidney failure and make up 27% of the transplant waiting list despite being 14% of the population.
Make sure to arrive early to take advantage of the evening's offerings! Doors open at 5:15 PM for dinner and access to a vendor resource center. Additionally, attendees can receive free genetic testing for the APOL1 variant starting at 5:15 PM before the main programming kicks off at 6:00 PM.
